Wildly Happy Easter Card

Happy Easter! For this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge I used the cute bunnies from the Wildly Happy stamp set to make my card.

Start with a Petal Pink cs card base. Cut a Granny Apple Green cs panel and Petal Pink cs panel. Emboss the Petal Pink cs panel with the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder and then glue it to the Granny Apple Green cs panel.

Cut a Whisper White cs label with the Stitched Nested Label dies. Stamp the bottom of the label with the grass stamp from the Enjoy Life stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink many times in full and 2nd generation ink for dimension. Punch slits in the sides of the label with the Label Me Fancy Punch.

Stamp the bunnies from the Wildly Happy stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Color the bunnies with Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut out the bunnies with Paper Snips. Add Wink of Stella to the bunnies ears, eyes, and nose for sparkle.

Stamp the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Fussy cut out the sentiment with Paper Snips. Add Petal Pink ink to the sentiment panel edges with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.

Stamp the small butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set 4 times in Petal Pink ink on Whisper White cs. Color the butterflies with light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. Punch out the butterflies with the Butterfly Duet Punch. Glue the butterflies 2 by 2 so that they are two sided. Use your bone folder to gently curl the wings. Add Wink of Stella for sparkle.

Thread a piece of Petal Pink Striped Organdy ribbon through the label slits. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the label to the embossed Petal Pink cs / Granny Apple Green cs panel. Wrap the panels with the Petal Pink Striped Organdy ribbon and tie a bow on the left side. Glue the wrapped panels to the card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the bunnies to the bottom right of the label in the stamped grass. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment panel to the top right of the label above the bunnies. Add a butterfly to the left side of label.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment and the bunnies from the Wildly Happy stamp set to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I also add the second two sided butterfly with a glue dot to the inside panel.
