Week 9 of 12 Weeks of Halloween - Wicked Raven Pillow Treat Box

For Week 9 of my 12 Weeks of Halloween I decided to decorate a Kraft Pillow Box. These fun boxes give you a little extra room to give treats – candy or even a baked cookie or two. I added sponged Blackberry Bliss for color and a fun acetate oval window to give a peek at the inside. To finish the Halloween theme, I used the Wicked Dies and The Raven stamp set. **Carefully open the seam of the Kraft Pillow Box**

**Use the Layering Oval 1 1/8″ to die cut an opening in the front panel.**

**I used some Washi tape to hold the die in place while I ran the pillow box though die cutting machine**.

**Use Washi to hold down the Pillow Box to the scrap/grid paper and then use the sponge brayer to add Blackberry Bliss ink to the pillow box.**

**Brayer ink until you have the ink coverage you want.**

**Die cut out Basic Black cs frames with the Layering Oval dies and an oval from the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.**

**Use glue to adhere the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate to the inside of the pillow box over the die cut oval opening. I used my clear block to weigh down the acetate until the glue had time to dry.**

**Glue a Basic Black cs oval frame over the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate on both sides of the pillow box.** **I again used a clear block to weigh down the frame until the glue had time to dry.**

**Stamp the branch image from The Raven stamp set in Memento Black ink on the sponged pillow box.**

**Use an Aqua Painter to splatter a few water drops on the pillow box.**

**Add Tear & Tape to the edge joint of the pillow box and reseal the it.**

**Here is a view of the back of the pillow box.**

Die cut out the word wicked with the Wicked dies from Blackberry Bliss cs. Use glue to adhere the word to pillow box under the oval opening and overlapping the frame & acetate.

Stamp the raven image from The Raven stamp set in Memento Black ink on Crumb Cake cs. Color the raven image with the Stampin’ Blends. Use Paper Snips to fussy cut out the colored raven. Use snail to loop Silver Metallic Thread onto the back of the colored raven. Add Wink of Stella to the raven’s feathers for sparkle. Color a rhinestone with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend and add it to the raven for its eye.

**After using Snail to loop on Silver Metallic Thread on the back of the pillow box add a small Basic Black cs die cut oval to sandwich the thread.**

Die cut a small Basic Black cs oval, add Tear & Tape to the oval, and then cover the Silver Metallic Thread on the back of the raven.

Add gray enamel dots from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes to the pillow box front.
