Thinking of You with a Wood Grain Background

I can’t believe that June is almost over. I have been enjoying all the awesomeness in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog and excited to see the PDF for the upcoming August-December 2020 Mini Catalog later today. I had one wood grain background left over from my projects last week and didn’t want to let it go to waste so came up with this lovely Thinking of You card.

Start with a Night of Navy cs card base. Use an In Good Taste DSP background panel and glue it to the card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla cs. Cut out the sentiment with your Paper Trimmer (2 1/8″ x 2 3/8″) and then cut out a Night of Navy cs sentiment layer (2 1/2″ x 2 6/8″). Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel to the Night of Navy cs layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Die cut out 2 fern leaves with the Forever Flourishing dies from Vellum cs. Die cut out 2 leaf sprigs with the Forever Flourishing dies from Misty Moonlight cs. Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the Vellum cs leaves and the Misty Moonlight cs sprigs to the back of the Night of Navy cs sentiment layer. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to sentiment layers with leaves to the center of the card front. Add pearls to the card front for a finishing touch.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message.

I also stamped the sentiment and added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Built DSP Background panel – 5″ x 3 3/4″
In Good Taste DSP strips – two 2/8″ x 2 1/2″ strips
Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel – 2 1/8″ x 2 3/8″
Night of Navy cs sentiment layer panel – 2 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
Vellum cs fern leaves – 2 leaves die cut with the Forever Flourishing dies
Misty Moonlight cs leaf sprigs – 2 sprigs die cut with the Forever Flourishing dies
Very Vanilla cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
