Stash Sundays: Retired Watercolor Garden 2 and Retired Loving Memories

I hope you are enjoying Stash Sundays and my little trips down memory lane. Even though I keep my stamp sets, there are a few that I always come back to time and time again. The Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Garden stamp sets are those for me.

Watercolor Garden 2 (set of 9) ©2002

I love the quick and beautiful flowers I can make with the Watercolor Garden 2 stamp set.

Loving Memories (set of 4) ©2002

I like to pair a simple watercolor bouquet with the Loving Memories stamp set. It has the sentiments and fonts I gravitate to when creating Sympathy cards.

Start with a Soft Sea Foam cs card base. Cut a Soft Sea Foam cs panel, dry emboss it with the Subtle embossing folder, and then glue it to the card base.

Cut the So Saffron cs and Very Vanilla cs image layers. Stamp the stems and leaves image from the Watercolor Garden 2 stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink on the Very Vanilla cs image layer. Then stamp the flower images in So Saffron ink. Add Wink of Stella to the flower’s centers for sparkle. Glue the stamped Very Vanilla cs image layer to the So Saffron cs image layer.

Wrap Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon around the bottom of the image layers and secure it with glue dots. Cut out sprigs from Vellum cs scrap with the Frosted Bouquet dies and use glue dots to adhere them to the back of the top left corner and bottom right corner of the image layers.

Cut the So Saffron cs and Very Vanilla cs sentiment layers. Stamp the sentiment from the Loving Memories stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on the Very Vanilla sentiment layer and then glue it to the So Saffron cs sentiment layer. Use glue dots to adhere the top half of the the sentiment layers to the centered bottom of the image layer overlapping the ribbon. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to to adhere the full image/sentiment layers panel to the card front. Add Basic Adhesive – Back Sequins to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment form the Loving Memories stamp set on the inside panel in Pear Pizzazz ink as well as stamped a flower in So Saffron ink on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Do you have stamp sets that you use often through the years? Maybe you even have the retired Watercolor Garden 2 stamp set or the retired Loving Memories stamp set. Please let me know in the comments.

You can purchase the other supplies I used to make this lovely Sympathy card in my Online Store. Be sure to check out all the retiring Last Chance products like the 2017-2019 In Colors and the great deals on the Clearance Rack – but don’t wait as these products sell out fast.
