Stash Sundays – Garden in Bloom

I decided to change my Global Design Project challenge posts from Sunday to Saturday as I missed the deadline last week. So I’m trying a new Sunday post – Stash Sundays. I have a large (about to grow- the retired list comes out soon) keeper Stash of retired stamps and products that I still love.

As soon as I saw the beautiful Share What You Love Specialty DSP I wanted to make a card using it with the Retired Garden in Bloom stamp set.

Retired Garden in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set
Share What You Love Specialty DSP

The Share What You Love Specialty DSP is a fabulous pack of heavyweight paper and the images on one sheet closely match the stamps in the retired Garden in Bloom stamp set.

Start with a Whisper White cs card base. Cut a Tranquil Tide cs panel. Cut a Share What You Love Specialty DSP panel and glue it to the Tranquil Tide cs panel. Wrap Old Olive Linen Thread around the cs panels 3 times and tie a bow leaving long ends off to the Left side of the panels. Glue the wrapped panel to the card front.

Stamp 3 flower outlines from the retired Garden in Bloom stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs scrap. Stamp the inner flower image in Mint Macaron ink and then again in 2nd generation (stamped off once) Tranquil Tide ink. Use the dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend to color the middle of the flowers. Cut out the flowers with Snips. Use a bone folder to slightly curl the flower petals. Then apply Wink of Stella to the entire flower to blend the colors and for sparkle. Use glue dots to attach two flowers to the sides of the card front overlapping some of the Old Olive Linen Thread.

Cut the Whisper White cs sentiment layer and the Old Olive cs sentiment layer. Stamp the sentiment from the retired Garden in Bloom stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Whisper White cs layer. Glue the stamped Whisper White cs layer to the Old Olive cs layer.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer to the card front centered on the Old Olive Linen Thread and overlapping the flowers. Adhere the last flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals to overlap the sentiment layer. Color a large rhinestone with the dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend to finish the card front. I also added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Stash Sunday card. The Garden in Bloom stamp set may be retired but you can purchase everything else in my Online Store. Don’t forget to check out the new Storage by Stampin’ Up! or to stock up on your favorite retiring 2017-2019 In Colors.

I would love to hear about what are some of your Stash stamp sets. I would love to highlight them during a future Stash Sunday. Be sure to suggest your favorites in the comments.
