Stampin’ Up!® Sneak Peek Clever Cats Birthday Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

My favorite stamp set in the upcoming July-December 2021 Mini Catalog is the stand alone Clever Cats! It has adorable sentiments and Halloween images that make these adorable kitties a must have for me. Of course it was the first set I wanted to play with when I received my pre-order. I couldn’t resist creating this fun sneak peek birthday card that shows off the versatility of these Clever Cats with the available now Plentiful Plants bundle and Artistically Inked stamp set.

Start with Cinnamon Cider cs card base. Cut a Shaded Spruce cs panel and a Basic White cs panel. Dry emboss the Shaded Spruce cs panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and use glue to add the embossed panel to the card base.

Stamp the large ink spotch from the Artistically Inked stamp set several times in full & 2nd generation (stamped off) Granny Apple Green ink in the center of the Basic White cs panel and then use glue to add it to the card front.

Stamp the sitting cat from the Clever Cats stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White cs. Color with Stampin’ Blends and lighten with the Color Lifter. Fussy cut out the colored cat. Stamp the pot from the Plentiful Plants stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Basic White cs. Stamp both the plant leaves from the Plentiful Plants stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink and Shaded Spruce ink. Die cut out the pot and leaves with the Perfect Plants dies. Use Stampin’ Seal to add the die cut plants to the back of the fussy cut cat. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the cat on the pot – so it looks like he is perched there. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built image to the lower right of the card front overlapping the stamped ink splotch.

Stamp the sentiments from the Clever Cats stamp set and the Artistically Inked stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White cs. Fussy cut out the sentiments so that you can add only the parts of the sentiments you want to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the bottom of the pot & on the card front and Wink of Stella to the cat’s eyes for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set in Basic Gray ink and the plant from the Plentiful Plants stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on the inside and back of the card.

I added the Stampin’ Up! copyright stamp from the Handmade for You stamp set to adhere to the Angel Policy.

I also added a stamped & fussy cut peeking cat and an embossed Shaded Spruce cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
