Stampin’ Up! Halloween Sunflower Card

Card Measurements, Supply List, and printable PDF tutorial for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I love the gorgeous images in the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and its coordinating Sunflower dies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I created a lovely Halloween Sunflower card for Day 4 of my 13 Days of Halloween. You can watch my Facebook Live Replay on Facebook page here or on my YouTube channel below.

Start with a Pale Papaya cs card base. Cut the Basic Black cs panel, Beautifully Penned DSP panel, and Basic White cs panel. Dry emboss the Basic Black cs with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Basic Black cs panel and the DSP panel to the card base.

Stamp the large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set to the top left side in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cs panel. Color the sunflower with the Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower’s center. Use the cap of the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to add ink splatters to the Basic White cs panel. Wrap the Basic White cs panel lower third with a piece of Metallic Mesh ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the panel.

Die cut out Basic Black cs sunflower outline and leaves with the Sunflower dies. Add the die cut sunflower outline to the Basic White cs panel over the sunflower with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a sentiment Basic White cs panel, a Pale Papaya cs panel layer, and a Basic Black cs panel layer. Stamp the sentiment from the Frightfully Cute stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cs sentiment panel. Use Paper Snips to trim the sentiment panel and then glue it to the Pale Papaya cs panel layer. Trim the panel layer with Paper Snips and then glue the panels to the Basic Black cs panel layer, again trimming the layer with paper snips. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panels to the Basic White cs panel in the center of the wrapped ribbon. Use glue to add the die cut Basic Black cs leaf outlines to the Basic White cs panel. Glue the built Basic White cs panel to the card front. Add a Genial Gem to the center of the sunflower and Matte Black Dots to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Use the cap of the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to add ink splatters to the inside panel and back of the card.

I added the Stampin’ Up! copyright stamp from the Handmade for You stamp set to adhere to the Angel Policy.

Stamp the sentiment from the Frightfully Cute stamp set, the small sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set, and add a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
