Stampin’ Up! Flowering Cactus DSP Card

I love the beautiful Designer Series Paper in the retiring Flowering Cactus Product Medley. This Designer Series Paper pack has a sheet with images that are designed to be die cut out with the Flowering Cactus dies. I created my card using die cut cactus & flowers images and Flowering Cactus DSP panels.

Start with a Highland Heather cs card base. Dry Emboss the card front with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Cut the Flowering Cactus DSP panels and glue them to the card front with the smaller panel vertically on the left side of the card front.

Die cut the cactus & flowers from the Flowering Cactus DSP using the Flowering Cactus dies. Glue the cactus to the center slightly left on the card front overlapping the vertical DSP panel. Use glue dots and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to add the flowers to the die cut cactus. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers centers for sparkle.

Cut a Basic White cs sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Flowering Cactus stamp set in Memento Black ink at the bottom of the panel leaving room to wrap the panel with a piece of Linen Thread (using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends) at the top. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment to the card front overlapping the right side of the die cut cactus. Double tie a small bow with the Linen Thread and use glue dots to attach it under the sentiment. Add Champagne Rhinestones to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Flowering Cactus stamp set in Memento Black ink and add a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
