Stampin’ Up! CASEing the Catalog Nuts About Squirrels Card

The Stampin’ Up! catalogs are a great place for inspiration and card ideas. I’ve CASEd (Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit) a card from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog page 49 with the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set.

Start with a Cinnamon Cider cs card base. Cut a Beauty of the Earth DSP panel, Old Olive cs panel, Basic White cs panel, and a Bumblebee cs panel. Glue the Beauty of the Earth DSP panel to the card base. Dry emboss the Old Olive cs panel with the pine fir Wintry 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Old Olive cs panel across the middle of the DSP panel.

Stamp a branch from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on the top left (about an 1″ from the top) on the Basic White cs panel. Stamp both the squirrel images from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Stamp the inner squirrel images in the stamped squirrels in 2nd generation (stamped off) Cinnamon Cider ink. Add color to the acorn images with the coordinating acorn stamps in Soft Suede ink (in full and 2nd generation). Then fussy cut out the squirrels with your paper snips. Stamp three leaves from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set in Cajun Craze ink, Bumblebee ink , and Old Olive ink. Fussy cut out the leaves with your paper snips. Glue the Basic White cs panel to the center of the card front. Use glue to add the squirrels and leaves to the Basic White cs panel. Use your paper snips to cut off any excess squirrel tail so it is flush to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Bumblebee cs panel. Glue the sentiment Bumblebee cs panel between the squirrels with the left side flush with the edge of the card front. Add Old Olive Decorative Matte Dots to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I added a strip of DSP to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
