Spotlight On Nature Bundle Sneak Peek Card

I have a sneak peek of the upcoming Spotlight On Nature bundle from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog for this week’s Global Design Project color challenge. I used the gorgeous Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder and colored the images with Stampin’ Blends and a Watercolor Pencil to create my card.

Start with a Coastal Cabana cardstock card base. Cut a Coastal Cabana cardstock panel. Die cut a Shaded Spruce cardstock circle, a Coastal Cabana cardstock circle, and a Highland Heather cardstock circle with the Spotlight On Nature dies. Dry emboss the Coastal Cabana cardstock panel and die cut circle with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. Glue the Shaded Spruce cardstock circle to the center of the embossed Coastal Cabana cardstock panel. Glue the embossed Coastal Cabana cardstock circle and the Highland Heather cardstock circle to the card front overlapping the Shaded Spruce cardstock circle.

Stamp the leaves twice in Shaded Spruce ink, the flowers in Coastal Cabana ink, and the butterfly twice in Highland Heather ink from the Spotlight On Nature stamp set on Basic White cardstock. Color the leaves and the butterflies with Stampin’ Blends and the flowers with the Coastal Cabana watercolor pencil & blender pen. Fussy cut out the colored images with paper snips. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers and the butterfly wings for sparkle. Glue the leaves to the card front overlapping the die cut circles. Add the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping the leaves and die cut circles. Use glue dots and a Stampin’ Dimensional to add a butterfly above and slightly tucked under the flower.

Wrap the built embossed panel with Linen Thread three times and tie in a bow on the right side of the card front. Add the wrapped built embossed panel to the card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Spotlight On Nature stamp set in Highland Heather ink on the sentiment panel. Use paper snips to cut both sides of the sentiment panel at a slant. Add the sentiment to the left side of the card front overlapping the Linen Thread and flowers & leaves with a Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots. Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the sentiment panel and card front for extra sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add an embossed Coastal Cabana cardstock strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Add the second fussy cut & colored butterfly with glue to the right side of the inside panel overlapping the embossed strip.

Coastal Cabana cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2.
Embossed Coastal Cabana cs panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two embossed 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Shaded Spruce cs circle – (3 1/4″) die cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies.
Embossed Coastal Cabana cs circle – (2 1/4″)die cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies.
Highland Heather cs circle – (1 5/8″) die cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies.
Basic White cs leaves, flowers, & butterflies – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 3/4″ x 2″ and use paper snips to cut both ends at a slant.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
