Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!
For this month’s blog hop and December’s PDF Tutorial we’re creating tags from a tag layout. The fun of a tag layout is that so many themes & stamp sets can shine. To create my tag layout blog hop tag I used the large die from the Greetings of the Season dies, the Snowy Wonder stamp set, a cute penguin from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper, and the Stylish Shapes dies to create my tag.
Start with die cutting a Pool Party cardstock tag base with the Greetings of the Season dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Labeled With Love stamp set in Memento Black ink on the back of the tag base. Stamp the snowflake from the Snowy Wonder stamp set in Pool Party ink on the back of the tag base. Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched circle, a Coastal Cabana cardstock stitched circle, a Real Red cardstock stitched circle, and a Basic White cardstock stitched sentiment banner with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp the snowflakes from the Snowy Wonder stamp set in Pool Party ink on the Basic White cardstock stitched circle. Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Friends stamp set in Pool Party ink on the Basic White cardstock stitched sentiment banner.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped Basic White cardstock stitched circle to the left side of the tag in the middle slightly off the edge. Use glue to tuck the Real Red cardstock stitched circle slightly under the Basic White cardstock stitched circle. Use a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the Coastal Cabana cardstock stitched circle above the Real Red cardstock stitched circle and overlapping the Basic White cardstock stitched circle. Die cut a White Glimmer Specialty paper snowflake (and save the inner bits to use as snow) with the Frozen Edges dies. Use a glue dot to add the snowflake to the Coastal Cabana cardstock stitched circle. Fussy cut out a penguin from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper. Add Wink of Stella to the penguin for sparkle. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment banner across the stitched circles on the tag base.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the fussy cut penguin to the Basic White cardstock stitched circle and over the left side of the stitched banner. Use glue to add the inner White Glimmer Specialty paper bits around the penguin and snowflake. Stamp the present from the Snowy Wonder stamp set (twice on top of each other) in Pool Party ink and in Real Red ink on Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut out the presents and add Wink of Stella to the presents for sparkle. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the presents to the Real Red cardstock stitched circle & slightly overlapping the sentiment banner. Thread a piece of Pool Party Pompom ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag base. Use a piece of white Baker’s Twine to tie a bow around the base the threaded ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed my card. You can order the Greetings of the Season dies, Snowy Wonder stamp set, the Christmas Friends stamp set, Labeled with Love stamp set, Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper, the Stylish Shapes dies, and the Frozen Edges dies in my Online Store.
