Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!
For this month’s blog hop and August’s PDF Tutorial we are focusing on the different types of Embossing. For my card I heat embossed the Drizzling Droplets back ground stamp with white embossing powder, heat embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder, and dry embossed the wagon image with the Timber 3D embossing folder.
Start with the an Azure Afternoon cardstock card base. Cut a Azure Afternoon cardstock panel. Lightly dust the panel with the Embossing Buddy, use Versamark to stamp the panel with the Drizzling Droplets background stamp, add white embossing powder, tap off the excess powder, then heat the powder with a Heat Tool. When the embossed powder is cooled, glue the embossed panel to the card base.
Stamp the the snowman/tree/shield image from the Filled With Cheer stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the snowman, tree ornaments, and sled for sparkle. Fussy cut out the colored image with paper snips. Stamp the wagon, two wheels, and wagon handle from the Filled With Fun stamp set on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black ink. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends. Dry emboss the wagon with the Timber 3D embossing folder. Use glue dots to build the wagon (add the wheels & the wagon handle).
Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Use your stamp positioning tool to stamp the sentiment from the Filled With Cheer stamp set on the right side of the sentiment panel in Azure Afternoon ink. Lightly dust the panel with the Embossing Buddy, stamp the sentiment again with Versamark over the original. Gently remove the sentiment from your positioning tool. Add white embossing powder to the sentiment, tap off the excess powder, then heat the powder with a Heat Tool. When dry use glue to add the sentiment panel to the bottom of the embossed panel. Add Wink of Stella to the top edge of the sentiment panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built wagon to the card front. Add the snowman/tree/shield image to the card front (add a Stampin’ Dimensional to the top of the tree and a glue dot under the star) using glue slightly tucked into the wagon. Add Iridescent Faceted Gems to the card front for extra sparkle.
Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add an embossed Azure Afternoon cardstock strip to the inside and back of the card and stamp the sentiment from the Filled With Cheer stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink on the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
