Inspirations In Ink: 2024-2026 In Colors Blog Hop Card

Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For this month’s blog hop and May’s PDF Tutorial we are focusing on Stampin’ Up! 2024-2026 In Colors. I am in love with these yummy sherbet colors that are perfect for our spring and summer projects! I created a card using all five of new In Colors with the beautiful upcoming Layers of Beauty Bundle. With the easy to use Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks and the small blending brushes I was able to add color to the stamped floral images to create my card.

Start with a Pretty In Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Pretty In Pink cardstock panel and a Pretty In Pink 2024-2026 In Colors Designer Series Paper panel. Dry emboss the Pretty In Pink cardstock panel with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. Use glue to add the Designer Series Paper panel to the embossed panel and then glue the panels to the card base.

Stamp the large floral image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock (I used my stamp positioning tool). I used the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks and the small blending brushes to color the floral image. I started with the #1 mask with the Pretty In Pink ink, then the Petunia Pop ink with #2 & #3 Masks, then on the #3 color the daisy centers with the Peach Pie ink and the roses with the more Petunia Pop ink, use Summer Splash ink with the #4 mask, and finally the Shy Shamrock ink with the #5 mask. Die cut out the colored floral image with the Layers of Beauty dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the floral image to the card front. Add Wink of Stella to the flower petals for sparkle.

Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the sentiment with the Layers of Beauty dies. Add the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie a small bow with white Baker’s Twine and use a glue dot to add it to the sentiment label. Add Iridescent Rhinestones to the card front for extra sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of embossed Pretty In Pink cardstock and stamp the medium image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set colored with the 2024-2026 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
