Happy New Year!

This year has really flown by! I had such a fantastic Stampin’ Up! year that was full of firsts. I was able to attend my first local OnStage held in Las Vegas this April and then in November I traveled to Orlando for the big OnStage event, did my first Facebook Live, started my blog, and created my website – to name a few of the big ones.

I also began Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator Support Program that led to participating in Blog Hops and the Random Act of Kindness Facebook group.

New Year Night of Navy card front — After stamping the image on Whisper White I ran it through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile embossing folder. Then with a small drop of Night of Navy refill on a clear D block, I used my aqua painter to lightly add the color to the card front. Then using the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint with a damp paint brush I lightly added it across the entire card front.

This is the Random Act of Kindness card I sent this month. I love the sentiment from the Just for Hosts ‘Warm Hearted’ stamp set in the 2018 Holiday catalog (January 2nd is the last day to order from the 2018 Holiday Catalog).

New Year Night of Navy Tin Tile RAK Card — I then added a Night of Navy layer, Black 3/8 Glittered Organdy ribbon, and basic rhinestones colored with the Night of Navy and Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. I also added the sentiment to the envelopes.

I love using the Aqua Painter to add a watercolor look to regular Whisper White cardstock. Just be careful to not add too much water or the cardstock will pill.

New Year light Night of Navy Tin Tile RAK card — You can use only a bit of color wash on your card front.

New Year darker Night of Navy Tin Tile RAK card — Or you can use more color to create a darker color wash (just be careful to not make it too dark and overpower your sentiment)

Adding the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint to your card front gives it a lovely sparkle that works with both the lighter and darker color washes.
