With all the excitement of Halloween and getting ready for the Butterfly Fall Bazaar this past weekend – I forgot to post my card for my upline’s – the Glimmer Gals Team – October Color Challenge given by Lorraine from Lorraine’s Crafting Corner. I decided to make a Black and White Christmas Rose card using the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter. You can watch the Facebook Live Replay of this project here.

Start with a Basic Black cs card base. Cut a Basic Black cs panel and dry emboss it with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Wrap a piece of Whisper White Flax ribbon around the embossed Basic Black cs panel using Tear & Tape to secure the ends on the back of the panel.
Cut the Whisper White cs image and sentiment panels. Stamp the large rose image from the Christmas Rose stamp set in Memento Black ink on the image layer Whisper White cs panel. Use the Detailed Trio punch to round the top right and bottom left corners of the stamped Whisper White cs image panel.
Stamp the three leave and pine cone/branch stamps in 2nd generation Memento Black ink (stamped off) making sure to line them up on the stamped image on the Whisper White cs panel.
Add the Shimmery Crystal Effects to the berries on the stamped Whisper White cs image panel and then add Ice Stampin’ Glitter over the berries. Tap off the excess. I applied the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter in sections so not to smudge the berries before they were completely dry. Add Wink of Stella to the flower petals for extra sparkle. Then add Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter to select places on the flower petals.
Stamp the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set in Memento black on the Whisper White cs sentiment panel and use your paper snips to cut off the excess cs panel.
Attach the Whisper White cs image panel to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals centered at the top overlapping the ribbon. Attach the sentiment panel to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals centered under the image panel.
Color rhinestones with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends and add them around the floral image and to the sentiment layer.
Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message.
I also stamped the floral image from the Christmas Rose stamp set and the sentiment from Christmas Rose on the inside and the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set on the back (Memento Black ink on the inside panel & Whisper White ink on the back) of the card to pull the theme through.
