Gentle Waves Brave Vikings Boat Card

The Retiring January-June 2022 Mini Catalog Last Chance Sale has begun and the retiring product is only available while supplies last so if there are any of these wonderful stamp sets that you still want for your keeper shelf – don’t wait and grab them today! I created this super fun Viking boat card using three of my favorite retiring stamp sets – the Brave Vikings stamp set, the Gentle Waves background stamp, and Seas the Day stamp set.

Cut a Coastal Cabana cs card base. Cut a Sahara Sand cardstock (cs) panel and a Basic White csstock panel (slightly bigger so it can be cut down). Use the Stamparatus to stamp the Gentle Waves background stamp with Coastal Cabana ink on the Basic White cs panel and then cut the panel down to size with the paper trimmer. Glue the stamped Basic White cs panel to the Sahara Sand cs panel and then glue to the card base. Add Wink of Stella to the waves and around the stamped Basic White cs panel on the Sahara Sand cs panel to create a thin frame for extra sparkle.

Cut a Sahara Sand cs sentiment panel and a Vellum cs sentiment panel layer. Stamp the sentiment from the Seas the Day stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Sahara Sand cs panel. Glue the stamped panel to the Vellum cs panel layer and then use a Stampin’ Dimensional to add it to the top right corner of the card front.

Stamp the boat from the Brave Vikings stamp set in Memento Black on Sahara Sand cs three times. Color the boats with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut out the colored images with paper snips. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the boats to the card front. Add Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to the boats shields and the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of stamped (Gentle Waves) strips to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I also stamped & colored the boat Viking boat on the inside panel (before adding to the inside of the card) and back of the card.

I also stamped the sentiment from the Seas the Day stamp set in Memento Black ink on the back of the card.

Coastal Cabana cs card base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4.
Sahara Sand cs panel – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
Basic White cs panel – 3 3/4″ x 5″ plus (stamped) 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
Sahara Sand cs Viking boats – 3 fussy cut with paper snips.
Sahara Sand cs sentiment panel – 1″ x 1″.
Vellum cs sentiment panel layer – 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
