Fandom Friday #1 Latte Love With Drink Up Grinches Card

It’s the first Friday in December and I’ve decided to finially “officially” start my Fandom Fridays on my YouTube channel. When it comes to crafting, I am a total Stampin’ Up! girl at heart … always have been, but I have also been a Fangirl! If I’m not in my craft room, I’m usually at the movies. I love Movies & TV shows (& audio books) and have all the coordinating merch to prove it. Luckily, I can watch & listen while I craft but a few years ago I discovered that there were some fabulous small independent companies that specialized in Fandom related stamps – so of course I had to indulge. On Fridays I’m going to start sharing projects I create projects with a Fandom theme that can included non-Stampin’ Up! products. Crafting is all about joy for me…it’s my happy spot!

I recently received my Drink Up Grinches stamp set (from The Sassy Club) and immediately loved these sentiments! Today, I have a fun card with a place for a gift card made with the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive (& on the Last Chance List) Latte Love stamp set with a Fandom twist. You can watch the replay of this project on my YouTube channel below.

Start with a Granny Apple Green cardstock card base. Cut a A Little Latte Designer Series Paper panel and use the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to add some green swirls to the panel. Stamp the splatter image from the Latte Love stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink to the Designer Series Paper panel. Die cut a Vellum cardstock stitched scalloped rectangle (I used the retired Scalloped Contours dies). Die cut a Granny Apple Green cardstock stitched square and a Basic White cardstock stitched square with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp the sentiments from the Drink Up Grinches stamp set (from The Sassy Club) in Memento Black ink & Granny Apple Green ink on the Basic White cardstock stitched square. Stamp the splatter image from the Latte Love stamp set in 2nd generation (stamped off) Granny Apple Green ink over the stamped sentiments and stitched square. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stamped Basic White cardstock stitched square slight askew to the Granny Apple Green cardstock stitched square.

Stamp the “green guy” from the Drink Up Grinches stamp set (from the Sassy Club) on Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink. Color the character with the Stampin’ Blends & Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (for his eyes) and then fussy cut him out with paper snips. Stamp the mug image from the Latte Love stamp set in Memento Black ink and then stamp the heart swirl image inside the mug in Granny Apple Green ink. Color the mug & heart swirl images with Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut out the mug with paper snips. Add Wink of Stella to the character, the mug, and the splatters on the sentiment for extra sparkle.

Use Stampin’ Seal to add the sentiment stitched squares to the Vellum cardstock rectangle. Use more Stampin’ Seal to the Vellum cardstock rectangle (hidden by the stitched sentiment squares) to add the built Vellum cardstock/ sentiment stitched squares to the card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the character down the Vellum cardstock rectangle overlapping the left side of the stitched sentiment squares. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the mug below and slightly overlapping the stitched squares. Tie a small bow with the Parakeet Party Metallic Woven ribbon, fray the ends, and use a glue dot to tuck it under the top right corner of the Basic White cardstock stitched sentiment square. Use the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to color three Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots and then add them to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Latte Love stamp set in Memento Black ink, and stamp the splatter image from the Latte Love stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on the inside panel. Glue the inside panel to the inside of the card. Cut a Granny Apple Green cardstock pocket panel. Use the Labeled With Love punch to create a cut out to the pocket panel. Stamp the splatter image from the Latte Love stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on the pocket panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut thin) close to the edges of the pocket panel to add the pocket panel to the bottom of the inside panel. Add a strip of Designer Series Paper (with added Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend ink) across the bottom of the pocket panel & the back of the card to pull the theme through.

A Little Latte DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Vellum cs stitched scalloped rectangle – (3 3/4″ x 2 1/2″) die cut with the Scalloped Contours dies.
Granny Apple Green cs stitched square – (2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″) die cut with Stylish Shapes dies.
Basic White cs stitched square – (1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″) die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.
Basic White cs Grinch – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs mug – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
