As soon as I saw the Butterfly Gala card with the new Purple Tricolor ribbon in the new Annual Catalog, I knew I wanted to CASE it. You can watch my Facebook Live making this card here.
Start with a Basic Gray cs card base. Cut a Purple Posy cs panel and glue it to the card base. Cut a Whisper White cs panel. Stamp the spot image from the Gallery Grunge stamp set in Smoky Slate ink 4 times (twice in full strength/once in 2nd generation/once in 3rd generation – for variation in color) in the middle of the Whisper White cs panel. Then glue the stamped Whisper White cs panel to the card front on the Purple Posy cs panel.
Use Tear and Tape to adhere a piece of 3/8″ Purple Tricolor ribbon across the stamped image on the Whisper White cs.
Die Cut a Purple Posy cs circle with the Layering Circles dies. Use Snail to adhere some looped Silver Thread to the top back of the Purple Posy cs circle. Attach the Purple Posy cs circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals centered on the card front and across the ribbon.
Die cut out the birthday sentiment from the Well Written Dies from Basic Gray cs. Glue it to the Purple Posy cs circle (I find that using small dots of glue works best).
Stamp the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on a strip of Highland Heather cs. Use Paper Snips to flag both ends of the sentiment layer. Use a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut in half) and glue to attach the sentiment layer to the Purple Posy cs circle below the die cut birthday.
Use the Stampin’ Write Markers to create a hombre effect on the butterflies stamps from the Butterfly Gala stamp set (Purple Posy, Highland Heather & Gorgeous Grape) on Whisper White cs (2 large & 2 small). Stamp the butterfly bodies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Highland Heather ink on the stamped butterfly images. Use the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch out the stamped images.
Glue the butterflies together, gently curl the wings with a Bone Folder, and then add Wink of Stella to the wings for sparkle. Attach the butterflies to the Purple Posy cs circle with glue dots. Use the Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend to color Pearl Basic Jewels and then adhere them to the butterfly bodies. To finish the card front add Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins for extra sparkle.
Don’t forgot to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also added a hombre marker inked large butterfly to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.
