CASEd Stampin’ Up! Christmas is Best Card

Card Measurements, Supply List, and printable PDF tutorial for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

There are so many fabulous project samples in the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs. I am playing with the Trimming the Town Suite and decided to CASE a card from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. You can watch my Facebook Live replay of this project here or on my YouTube channel below.

This is my first attempt that went awry – I needed to cut a 10″ x 6″ Early Espresso card base because the card front I created was too large for the standard card base.

Start with an Early Espresso cs card base. Stamp the snowflakes from the Coming Home stamp set in Whisper White Craft ink across the top 1/3rd of the card and then set aside to dry – the Whisper White ink takes longer to dry. Cut a Vellum cs, Trimming the Town DSP panel, Thick Whisper White cs panel. Cut a Thick Whisper White cs snow bank with the Home Together Dies.

Use your Water Painter to add Misty Moonlight ink to the top of the Thick Whisper White cs panel and the top edge of the snow bank. Stamp the houses and trees from the Coming Home stamp set in Memento Black ink on scrap Thick Whisper White cs. Die cut out the images with the Home Together Dies. Color the die cut images with the Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the windows for sparkle.

Stamp the evergreen trees in Memento Black ink on the dry Thick Whisper White cs panel. Color the trees with Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the bare trees in Early Espresso ink on the Thick Whisper White cs panel. Glue the snow bank on the bottom of the panel.

Stamp the snowflakes in Misty Moonlight ink to the outer edge of the Thick Whisper White cs panel. Glue the Thick Whisper White cs panel to the Trimming the Town DSP Panel, then both to the Vellum cs panel, and then glue to the card base – all slightly askew.

Use glue and mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the die cut houses and trees. Fussy cut out the couple from the Trimming the Town DSP and glue it to the card front.

Cut a Thick Whisper White cs sentiment label and stamp the sentiment from the Tree Angle stamp set in Poppy Parade ink. Add Stampin’ Seal to the back of the label to add a piece of Poppy Parade Gold Trimmed ribbon (from All the Trimmings ribbon combo pack) and then use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach it to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Poppy Parade ink and add a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my CASEd Christmas is Best card. You can order the Coming Home bundle, Trimming the Town DSP, and the Tree Angle in my Online Store and don’t forget to check out my Card Kit Special with the In The Pines bundle.
