Capturing Smiles Bundle HMSC Dine & Swap Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the printable PDF with the clickable (Print Recipe) link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For March’s Huachuca Mountain Stamp Club (my town’s local stamping group) Dine & Swap card I created a lovely card using the Online Exclusive Capturing Smiles bundle. The wonderful Dine & Swap group makes one card (or project) that includes the three elements and then after we have a lovely lunch together we randomly swap cards. This month’s card needed to include a square, a tent, and a drink. I was super excited that the film strip images that came with the Capturing Smiles stamp set came with a image of a tent. I wasn’t sure if I already had one. I fussy cut out a drink image from the now retired Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper and fussy cut flowers from the still available Floral Charm Designer Series Paper to complete my card.

Start with a Strawberry Slush cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Black cardstock panel and a Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together and then onto the card base. Stamp the camera, the camera layer, the closure, the ring from the Capturing Smiles stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the camera and pieces with Stampin’ Blends, add Wink of Stella for sparkle, and then die cut out with the Capturing Smiles dies. Use glue and black Stampin’ Dimensionals to build the camera.

Die cut out a Basic Black cardstock film strip with the Capturing Smiles dies. Stamp the three small picture images from the Capture Smiles stamp set in Memento Black on Basic White cardstock, color with Stampin’ Blends, and then die cut out with the Capturing Smiles dies. Glue the film strip down the right side of the card front. Use glue to add the pictures inside the film strip. Glue the built camera to the top left side of the card front slightly overlapping the built film strip.

Stamp the sentiments from the Capturing Smiles stamp set on Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink. Closely fussy cut out the sentiments. Use mini black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiments to the card front under the camara. Fussy cut out flowers from the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper and a drink from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper to add the the card front around the sentiments, camara, and film strip.

Cut & glue a Basic Black cardstock inside panel layer and a Basic White cardstock inside panel inside your card to write your message. Add a strip of Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the small camera from the Capturing Smiles stamp set in Memento Black ink on the lower right side of the inside panel. Add a few fussy cut Floral Charm Designer Series Paper flowers to the inside panel.
