Blossoms in Bloom Bundle Birthday Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I was excited to finally use my new Blossoms in Bloom Bundle from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog for this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge. I found trying to get the image stamped in the right place was tricky. I practiced a bunch before trying it on the Watercolor paper – but I would suggest using your Stamparatus to avoid a pile of wasted cs and frustration. The Stamparatus makes it so easy to line up the stamped image and the die cuts! So even though I didn’t use my Stamparatus to make this card – don’t make the same mistake I did and use yours.

Start with a Pretty Peacock cs card base. Cut the Very Vanilla cs panel and the Watercolor panel. Die cut out the outline of the large flowers with the Many Layered Blossoms Dies from Rococo Rose cs. *Pull out your Stamparatus and line up the large flower images stamp on one plate (using the die cut as a guide) and the leaves on your second plate from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set so that the images will stamp the same on both the Very Vanilla cs panel and Watercolor paper panel. Position your Watercolor paper on your Stamparatus and use your Aqua Painter/ Water Painter to add a bit of water to the watercolor paper so that is slightly damp. Then stamp the large flower image on the Watercolor paper (in your Stamparatus) in Rococo Rose ink. Then switch out the Watercolor paper with the Very Vanilla cs panel (be sure that you Stamparatus is completely dry). Stamp the leaves on the Very Vanilla cs panel in Pretty Peacock ink.

Fussy cut out the stamped Watercolor paper flowers with your Paper Snips. Stamp the center dot images from the Blossoms in Blooms stamp set on the flowers in Pretty Peacock ink. Add Wink of Stella to the centers for sparkle. Use glue or the Fine-Tipped Glue Pen to add the Rococo Rose outline overlay to the flowers.

Glue the flowers & overlay to the stamped Very Vanilla cs panel. Stamp the small flowers around the flowers on the Very Vanilla cs panel in 2nd generation (stamped off) Rococo Rose ink. Then glue the Very Vanilla cs panel to the Pretty Peacock cs card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Very Vanilla cs. Punch out the sentiment with the Label Me Lovely punch. Punch out a Pretty Peacock cs label and then use your paper snip to cut it in half. Glue the Pretty Peacock cs label halves to the back of the stamped Very Vanilla cs label to create a border behind the sentiment label. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment labels to the center of the flowers on the card front.

Make a small bow with a piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and use glue dots to attach beneath the sentiment. Add rhinestones to the small flower centers for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I also partially stamped the large flowers image in Rococo Rose ink and Pretty Peacock inked centers with added Wink of Stella for sparkle on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my #GDP243 Blossoms in Bloom Bundle Birthday card. You can purchase the Blossoms in Bloom Bundle, the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and the Stamparatus in my Online Store.
