This fun set – Beauty & Joy – is on the Retiring Favorites Holiday Catalog list now. It includes some fun potted foliage images and sentiments. Today I made a lovely Christmas card with this set.
Start with a Merry Merlot cs card base. Cut a Shaded Spruce cs panel and a Merry Merlot cs panel. Dry emboss the Shaded Spruce cs panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Dry emboss the Merry Merlot cs panel with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Remember to use the blue 3D Embossing Folder Plate to get the best impression with these new style embossing folders.
Add a strip of Tear & Tape to the back of the embossed Merry Merlot cs panel and slightly overlap it on the embossed Shaded Spruce cs panel to build one panel – keeping in mind not to shorten the new panel too much. Wrap the new panel with a piece of Come to Gather Crumb Cake satin edged ribbon using more Tear and Tape to secure the ends to the back of the built panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the wrapped built panel to the card front.
Stamp the images from the Beauty & Joy stamp set to build the potted ivy plant with berries using Soft Suede ink for the pot and branches, Shaded Spruce ink for the ivy plant, and Merry Merlot ink for the berries on Very Vanilla cs. Use the Nested Stitched Label dies to die cut out the potted ivy plant.
Stamp the sentiment from the Beauty & Joy stamp set in Merry Merlot ink on Very Vanilla cs. Die cut out the sentiment with the Nested Stitched Label dies. Die cut out a Soft Suede cs stitched circle with the Stitched Shapes dies.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped Very Vanilla cs stitched label to the center of the card front.
Glue the Soft Suede cs stitched circle to the top left of the card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the Very Vanilla cs sentiment stitched label so that it overlaps the Soft Suede cs stitched circle.
Color small pearls with the Stampin’ Blends – I used the color combo dark Cherry Cobbler and dark Blackberry Bliss to create a Merry Merlot color and then added them to the sentiment and to the ivy plane. Color a rhinestone with the dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend and add it to the sentiment under the colored pearls.
Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I also added Merry Merlot cs strips embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
I hope you enjoyed my Beauty & Joy Christmas card. You can still get this lovely stamp set in my Online Store in the Retiring Favorites – but don’t wait too long as Retiring Favorites as well as the Discounted Products are only available while supplies last or January 2nd.
