My box finally arrived and I was able to play with some new product from the new 2019- 2020 Annual Catalog. I watched my unboxing and I said “It’s so pretty!” like a million times while looking through the Perennial Essence DSP. So of course I chose a piece of that DSP for my first card. I paired this gorgeous DSP with the retiring Petal Palette stamp set. I’m sad that this beautiful stamp set is retiring.
Start with a Blueberry Bushel cs card base and dry emboss the front half with the Subtle embossing folder. Cut a panel from the new gorgeous Perennial Essence DSP and then glue it to the card base.
Cut a Watercolor Paper panel and stamp the image and sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set in Memento Black ink. Use an Aqua Painter to add a small amount of water on the image first and then using Blueberry Bushel ink (the pad or re-inker on the lid or clear block) for the roses and Shaded Spruce ink for the leaves to color the images. I applied multiple layers of color and then pulled a small amount of the color from the image to blur the lines and add soft color to the rest of the paper. I added Wink of Stella to the rose petals for sparkle.
Add a strip of Tear & Tape to the side of the stamped and colored Watercolor Paper layer to adhere the ribbon. I used the new Scalloped Lace Trim ribbon – cutting a piece larger than the Watercolor Paper Layer and then slightly pleating the ribbon to the side. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the image layer to the card front.
Color Clear Epoxy Droplets with a Dark Night of Navy Stampin Blend and then add them to the card front. And don’t forget a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped and colored the smaller flower image from the Petal Palette stamp set in Memento ink to the inside panel and the back of the card to pull the theme through.
