The weather is finally getting cooler and starting to feel like Fall here in Southern Arizona. I’m about to start fervently working on Christmas Items for the Butterfly Bazaar that is held the first weekend in November and wanted to do a non- Halloween Fall card. I do love Halloween- but the Painted Harvest Two – Step stamp set in the Annual Catty is the perfect making cards for the Fall season. You can watch the Facebook Live replay of the making of this card here or on my YouTube channel here.
Start with a Very Vanilla cs card base. Cut the Cajun Craze cs and the Very Vanilla cs panels. Stamp the Birch Background stamp on the Very Vanilla cs panel in Soft Suede ink. Glue the stamped Very Vanilla cs panel to the Cajun Craze cs panel.
Cut the Cajun Craze cs layer and Very Vanilla cs floral panel. Stamp the largest flower image from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Cajun Craze ink three times on the Very Vanilla cs panel. Then stamp the second floral image over the first in Cajun Craze ink to create the flowers. Next stamp the flower center image in Crushed Curry ink. Stamp the three dot image in Cajun Craze ink on the flower centers to finish the flowers.
Stamp the less solid leaf frond from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink around the flowers – filling in the blank space. Then use glue to adhere the stamped Very Vanilla cs panel to the Cajun Craze cs layer and then glue them both to the stamped Birch panels centered toward the top.
Cut the Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel and Cajun Craze cs sentiment layer. Stamp the sentiment from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the Very Vanilla cs panel. Then using the Very Vanilla cs panel as a guide – gently tear the Cajun Craze cs towards you – leaving an uneven torn edge. Glue the stamped Very Vanilla cs panel to the torn Cajun Craze cs layer. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment panels so they overlapped both the floral image panels and the on the Birch background panels.
Roll the Cajun Craze Linen Thread and the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread with your fingers and then wrap the panels with linen thread and tie a bow to the left side of the sentiment panels. Then glue the wrapped panels to the card base.
I also stamped a sentiment and the flower & leaf fronds from the Painted Harvest on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
