Turtle-y Cute DSP Global Design Project Sketch Challenge Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the printable PDF with the clickable (Print Recipe) link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

The turtles in the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set and Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper are super adorable. For last week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge card, I created a fun summer beach scene with fussy cut elements from the Designer Series Paper. I added torn two-tone cardstock and an embossed panel with the Turtle Textures embossing folder to finish my card.

Start with a Soft Sea Foam cardstock card base. Cut a Lost Lagoon two-tone cardstock panel and a Soft Sea Foam cardstock panel. Emboss the Soft Sea Foam cardstock panel with the Turtle Textures embossing folder. Glue the embossed panel to the two-tone cardstock panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the panels to the card base.

Cut the beach scene from the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper and a Lost Lagoon two-tone cardstock panel layer. Gently tear the top and bottom edges of the two-tone cardstock revealing the white core. Glue the Designer Series Paper panel to the torn two-tone cardstock panel layer. Glue the panels to the front panel. Fussy cut out the turtle in floaties, two sea shells, beach ball, sand castle, a starfish, and a crab from the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the fussy cut pieces to the card front. Add Wink of Stella to the fussy cut pieces.

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on the sentiment panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to add the sentiment to the card front across the fussy cut pieces on the lower left side of beach scene. Add Holographic Resin Dots to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on the inside panel. Glue the inside panel into the card. Add an embossed Soft Sea Foam strip to the inside and back of the card. Add the fussy cut starfish and crab to the bottom left side of the inside panel overlapping the embossed strip.
