Stampin’ Up! Nuts & Bolts Note Cards

The Card Measurements and Supply List for these projects are found at the bottom of this blog post.

To create this trio of Note Cards I used the adorable robots from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog Nuts & Bolts stamp set. I added a pop of color to these simple but fun note cards with the ink splotch from the Artistically Inked stamp set and added texture with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. And be sure to check out the Nuts & Bolts Valentine card I created with this stamp set at the very bottom of this post.

For all three of these cards I started with a Basic White Note Card card base. Cut a Basic White cs panel and add the background color with the large ink splotch stamp from the Artistically Inked stamp set and then add texture to the panel by dry embossing it with the Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder. For this robot note card I used Blackberry Bliss ink and used a Blender Pen to soften & lighten the stamped color a bit before dry embossing the panel.

I used Stampin’ Blends to color the robot. I blended a small bit of Light Cajun Craze with the Gray Granite & Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to give the robots a slightly rusted look. I added Wink of Stella to the heart and eyes for sparkle and outlined the robot & colored the eyes with Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend before fussy cutting out the image.

For this note card I used Daffodil Delight ink for the background color. I also colored the bolt flower with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

Cut a Basic White cs inside panel to stamp the sentiment and stamp the ink splotch image across the bottom of the panel (so that some of the image is off the panel) before gluing into the card.

I used a different sentiment from Nuts & Bolts stamp set on each card.
I also added the Stampin’ Up! copyright stamp from the Handmade for You stamp set to adhere to the Angel Policy.

I only added ink to the top of the large splotch image to create a smaller ink spot for the back of the card to pull the theme through.

For this card I used Gray Granite ink for the background.

I used the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to outline the inside of this robot’s eyes before coloring with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.

I also stamped the large ink splotch from the Artistically Inked stamp set on the Note Cards’ envelopes.
