January 2021 “Sending Hearts” Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Cards

Check out my Stampin’ Up!® January 2021 “Sending Hearts” Paper Pumpkin blog post here.

This January “Sending Hearts” Paper Pumpkin kit is super cute and I made four alternative cards with kit. You can still get refill kits in my Online Store here.

For this card I made a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ Z Fold card. I took the card base added a 2 1/8″ score line to the card front and then cut 1 1/4″ off the card base (4 1/4 x 8 1/2″). I folded on the score lines to create the Z fold. I folded the 1 1/4″ piece I cut off on the score lines and then glued the long 4 1/4″ piece flush with the front 2 1/8″ card front flap and glued the short 2 1/8″ folded piece flush to the bottom edge of the inside panel.

Glue the the Basic Black scalloped edge piece along the bottom piece of the card base. Add the heart panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front 2 1/8″ panel and overlapping the Basic Black scalloped edge piece. Add the ‘Love’ die cut to the heart panel. Stamp the ‘you’ on a white banner die cut & stamp the flower/star & hearts image on the inside panel in Memento Black ink and glue the stamped banner to the inside panel.

I also stamped the sentiment and flower/star & heart image in Memento Black ink on the back of the card to pull the theme through.

This is also a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ Z Fold card but I added a ribbon to tie it closed.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to make a channel for the ribbon across the front panel and then wrapped the ribbon around the back of the card and tied on the front right side.

I stamped the big heart image in the center of the heart panel in Poppy Parade ink.

For this card I cut 2 1/8″ off the card front and added a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Poppy Parade cs panel with glue. Add the mail box panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. Tie and add a bow to the mail box pole. Stamp the sentiment to the die cut Petal Pink label. Add loops of ribbon with glue dots to make a fuller bow and then add the stamped label so it overlaps the ribbon. Add a pink enamel heart to the envelope image. Add Gold Glitter Enamel dots to the panel and label for sparkle.

I stamped 2 big heart image in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White cs and then fussing cut them out with my paper snips. I glued the fussy cut hearts to the inside of the Poppy Parade cs panel. Stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink and add strips 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ of scrap to the inside panels.

For this card I glued the 5 1/2″ x 2″ strip of scrap in the middle of the card front. I stamped the sentiment and snail image in Memento Black ink on a Basic White cs stitched rectangle (2 1/4″). Color the snail with Stampin’ Blends and add a enamel heart. Add the stitched rectangle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie small Black ribbon bow and add it to the top left corner with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment and snail in Memento Black ink to the inside panel.

I stamped the sentiment and snail in Memento Black ink to the back of the card to pull the theme through.
