Fussy Cutting with the Art Gallery Fun Fold Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I love the fabulous Art Gallery stamp set and the gorgeous Fine Art Floral DSP from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I created this fun and simple fun fold with a fussy cut layered flower and the wonderful sentiments from the Happy Thoughts stamp set, also from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

Start with a Daffodil Delight cs card base and glue the scored sections together creating the 1/2″ left edge of the card base. Cut a Poppy Parade cs panel and a Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together and then to the card base centered on the right side of the scored side of the card base.

Cut a Vellum cs stitched scalloped rectangle with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. On scrap Basic White cs stamp the large flower from the Art Gallery stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink and twice in Flirty Flamingo ink. Stamp the overlay stamp in Poppy Parade ink over the Flirty Flamingo flowers. Use the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker to add color to the flowers centers and Wink of Stella for sparkle. Fussy cut out the Mossy Meadow flower & glue it to the Vellum stitched scalloped rectangle. Fussy cut out the Flirty Flamingo/Poppy Parade flowers and attach them to the Mossy Meadow flower with glue, glue dots, and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then glue the Vellum cs stitched scalloped rectangle – adding the glue to the back of the Vellum cs so it is hidden by the flowers – to the card front at a slight angle.

Stamp the sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White cs. Fussy cut around the sentiment with paper snips. Glue the fussy cut sentiment to Daffodil Delight cs scrap. Then fussy cut out a sentiment creating a Daffodil Delight layer. Glue the sentiment layers to the card front to the right of the flowers overlapping the Vellum cs and DSP panel.

Cut a piece of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim, wrap it around the 1/2″ scored left side edge, and tie it in a bow. Use a glue dot to secure the bow to the card base. Then unravel the bow’s ends and add rhinestones to the card front for more sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink. I also added a strip of the Fine Art Floral DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
