Fun Front Opening Monster Bash DSP Card

I’ve been having a blast creating with the Monster Bash DSP and knew I wanted to make some fun front opening cards. I made this card for my Glimmer Gal Team swap. I adore this 4″ card design that I discovered from Ronda Wade because you can see both sides of this fabulous DSP.

Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
#150447
Price: $11.50

Cut and score the Monster Bash DSP and fold on the score lines – folding the first two score lines in and the last score line out so it folds showing the other side of the DSP creating the card. Use glue to adhere the folded DSP card to the Basic Black cs card back.

Die cut 3 Basic Black cs edge pieces with the Stitched Be Mine dies. Using glue add one edge piece to the front edge of the bottom DSP flap, 1 behind the top DSP folded flap (& sealing the folded flap flush against the upper flap), and the last to the back of the top flap (so that amount of Basic Black cs edging that shows is equal on the top and the bottom of the top flap).

Punch out a circle with the 2″ Circle Punch from the Monster Bash DSP and a Basic Black cs starburst circle with the Starburst Punch. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the DSP Circle to the Basic Black cs starburst circle. Use Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the moon and windows of the haunted house. Glue the top half of the DSP circle layers to the card front so it slightly hangs down over the bottom flap.

Cut the Very Vanilla cs sentiment banner and stamp the sentiment from The Raven stamp set in Memento Black ink. Use the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end of the stamped Very Vanilla cs sentiment banner. Then use a glue dot and Black Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the sentiment banner to the card front on the top folded over DSP flap slightly overlapping the haunted house circle layers.

Be sure to add a Very Vanilla cs inside layer to write your message. I added the sentiment from The Raven and a strip of DSP to the inside panel.

I used the Silvery Shimmer Delicate Metallic Ink to add the sentiment from The Raven stamp set and a strip of DSP to the back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my fun front opening Monster Bash DSP card. There is still time to order your own Monster Bash DSP and The Raven stamp set in my Online Store now and make some of these super cute cards for Halloween.
