I was happy how this card on the fly came together and enjoyed comparing the flower from the Free As A Bird stamp set and the new Forever Blossoms stamp set from the upcoming January – July Mini Catalog 2020. You can watch my Facebook Live replay of this card here or on my YouTube channel here.
Start with a Very Vanilla cs card base. Cut a Garden Lane DSP panel. Wrap the panel with a piece of the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim, secure the ends to the back of the panel with Tear & Tape and then glue the panel to the card front.
Stamp the flower in Calypso Coral ink & leaf in Mint Macaron ink from the Free As A Bird stamp set and the flower in Calypso Coral ink & leaf in Mint Macaron ink from the Forever Blossoms stamp set on Very Vanilla cs. Fussy cut out the flowers and leaves with your Paper Snips. Add Wink of Stella to the flower centers for sparkle.
Use glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to build your floral bouquet overlapping the ribbon in the lower right of the card base.
Stamp the sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on Very Vanilla cs. Use the Classic Label punch to punch out the sentiment so that the sentiment is close to one side. I then reinserted the punched label back into the punch to repunch the label so that the sentiment label is a shorter version of the classic label with the sentiment centered.
Tie a Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim small bow and attach it with glue dots to the left side of the floral bouquet just below the trim. Add the sentiment label to the floral bouquet overlapping the lace trim with Mini Dimensionals.
After making the card on the Facebook Live I remembered I wanted to add some bling.
So I colored some rhinestones with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend and added it to the card front around the flowers.
I stamped the sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on the inside and back of the card.
I also added a fussy cut flower & DSP strips to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
