Christmas Friends Owl Christmas Card

The adorable images in the Christmas Friends stamp set with its puny sentiments make this a fun set to create Christmas cards. I used the gorgeous Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper with the fluffy owl and coordinating sentiment from the Christmas Friends stamp set to create this simple but lovely holiday card.

Start with a Gray Granite cardstock card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel and a Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels to the card base.

Die cut a Gray Granite cardstock label layer and a Basic White cardstock label with the Something Fancy dies. Glue the Basic White cardstock label to the Gray Granite cardstock label layer. Wrap the end of the labels with Gray Granite Baker’s Twine and tie in a bow. Glue the wrapped label to the right side of the card front (even with the Basic White cardstock panel). Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Friends stamp set in Memento Black ink. Glue the sentiment to the left side of the card front (even with the Basic White cardstock panel) and overlapping the wrapped labels.

Stamp the owl from the Christmas Friends stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the owl with the Christmas Friends dies (or fussy cut out with paper snips). Color the owl with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the owl to the card front overlapping the sentiment and wrapped labels. Add gold sequins to the card front.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiments from the Greetings of the Season stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside panel and glue the inside panel into the card. Add a strip of Specialty Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
