Winked Birthday Painted Poppies Card

I love the upcoming Painted Poppies stamp set from the new January-June Mini Catalog especially paired with the sentiment from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration Happy Birthday To You stamp set and winked with Wink of Stella. Start with a Rich Razzleberry cs card base. Cut a Whisper White cs panel, stamp the sentiment from the 2020 Sale- A- Bration Happy Birthday To You stamp set in Memento Black ink at the top center of the panel and the poppies stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set across the lower part of the panel- about 1″ up from the bottom in Memento Black ink.

Make a well of Rich Razzleberry ink by either putting a couple of drops of the reinker on the ink pad lid or on a clear block or create a well of ink by lightly squishing the ink pad lid down on itself. Then dip the Wink of Stella in the Rich Razzleberry ink to color the poppies.

Using Paper Snips rough up the panel’s edges. Use a sponge dauber to add Rich Razzleberry ink to the edges of the roughed Whisper White cs edges. Glue the panel to the card front.

Cut a Blackberry Bliss cs strip, dry emboss it with the January-June Mini Catalog Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder, and then use your Paper Snips to rough the edges.

Glue the panel across the bottom of the Whisper White cs panel overlapping the poppies image slightly. Add Champagne Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I roughed and added Rich Razzleberry ink to the edges of the Whisper White cs panel before gluing it in. I also stamped the sentiment and poppies in Memento Black ink to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I colored the poppies with Wink of Stella dipped in the Rich Razzleberry ink for added color & sparkle.
