Stargazing Thank You Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I’m going to miss the lovely retiring Stargazing stamp set. I adore this set with Seaside Spray, Night of Navy, and silver accents. You can watch the making of this card on my Facebook Live replay here or watch it on my YouTube channel below.

Start with a Night of Navy cs card base. Cut a Shimmery White cs panel. Die cut a Silver foil label layer with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then dry emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Die cut a Shimmery White cs label with Stitched So Sweetly dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Stargazing stamp set in Night of Navy ink vertically on the Shimmery White cs label. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the stamped Shimmery White cs label to the embossed Silver foil label.

Stamp the largest star swirl from the Stargazing stamp set in Seaside Spray ink (I find that I don’t like the much darker edge dots – so I gently rock around the stamp on scrap paper) across the cs and then turn the stamp around, reink, and then stamp again. Then fill in the rest of the Shimmery White cs panel with 2nd & 3rd & 4th generation Seaside Spray ink with the same large star swirl.

Stamp the smaller star swirl in Night of Navy ink (use the labels as a guide) across the bottom of the stamped Shimmery White cs panel and then turn the stamp and then without reinking stamp the swirl overlapping and beneath the first stamped image. Add Wink of Stella to the swirls and stars for sparkle.

Wrap the stamped Shimmery White cs panel with a piece of Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon using glue dots to secure the ends on the back of the panel. Use glue to adhere the wrapped panel to the card base. Attach the sentiment labels to the the card front on the left side overlapping the ribbon. Tie a small Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon bow and add it to the card front on the right side of the sentiment labels overlapping the wrapped ribbon with glue dots. Add Holiday rhinestones to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamp set in Night of Navy ink & the smaller star swirl in Seaside Spray ink (in full and 2nd generation) across the bottom of the panel, and then the smallest star swirl in Night of Navy ink on the other swirl. I also stamped a smaller swirl and the sentiment on the back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Stargazing Thank You card. You can purchase the Stargazing stamp set and the Stitched So Sweetly dies in my Online Store. But don’t wait too long (stamp sets are only guaranteed until May 22nd) to purchase the Last Chance product the Stargazing stamp set.
