Stargazing and Stitched Stars Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

The wonderfully fun Stargazing stamp set is retiring and I wanted to make sure I gave this set some love. For this card I used the Stitched Stars dies to create the background.

Start with Pretty Peacock cs card base. Cut a Pineapple Punch cs panel and a Whisper White cs panel and glue the Whisper White cs panel to the Pineapple Punch cs panel.

Die cut a variety of stitched stars with the Stitched Stars dies from Pretty Peacock cs. Lay out your stars on the Whisper White cs/ Pineapple Punch cs panel. When you’re happy – glue the stars down and then cut off the overhang.

Cut the Pineapple Punch cs, Pretty Peacock cs, and Whisper White cs image layer panels. Stamp the large swirly star from the Stargazing stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink (I find that I don’t like the much darker edge dots – so I gently rock around the stamp on scrap paper) on the Whisper White cs panel. Color one star with the Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend and then add Wink of Stella to the whole image for sparkle.

Then build the image panel by gluing the stamped Whisper White cs panel to the Pretty Peacock cs and then glue them both to the Pineapple Punch cs panel. Use Snail to attach Silver Thread to the back of the image panels. Then attach the image panels with foam strips to the card front.

Cut the Whisper White cs and Pretty Peacock cs sentiment panels. Stamp the sentiment from the Stargazing stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on the Whisper White cs panel. Use the dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend to add color to the edge of the stamped Whisper White cs sentiment panel and then glue it to the Pretty Peacock cs panel. Use glue dots to add the sentiment panel to the image panel. Add rhinestones to the image panel and card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the smaller star swirl from the Stargazing stamp set on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I colored one star on the inside with the dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend and stamped the sentiment on the back of the card.

I hope you enjoyed my Stargazing Stitched Stars card. You can purchase the Stargazing stamp set and the Stitched Stars dies in my Online Store. But don’t wait the Stargazing stamp set is a Last Chance Product.
