Stamping Lovelies Team January 2020 Color Challenge – Beautiful Moments Thinking of You Card

I’m excited that my Stamping Lovelies Team has started a monthly color challenge. For my inaugural card I chose to use one of my favorites from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog, the Beautiful Moments stamp set. I also used the lovely butterfly from the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the upcoming 2020 Coordination Product Nature’s Thoughts dies. Start with a Pretty Peacock cs card base. Stamp the small flower & grass clump from the Beautiful Moments stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink directly on the left & right side about an inch from the bottom of the card base.

Cut a Vellum cs panel and dry emboss it with the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder. Add glue to the center of the embossed Vellum to adhere the panel to the card base.

Cut the Grapefruit Grove cs and Whisper White cs panels. Stamp the lady in the field of flowers from the Beautiful Moments stamp set in Memento Black ink in the center about an inch from the bottom on the Whisper White cs panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Moments stamp set in Memento Black ink at the top right corner of the Whisper White cs panel. Use Stampin’ Blends to color the image and add Wink of Stella to her hair and the flowers for extra sparkle. Glue the stamped Whisper White cs panel to the Grapefruit Grove cs panel.

Stamp the butterfly from the Positive Thoughts stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs scrap. Die cut out the butterfly with the Nature’s Thoughts dies. Color the butterfly with the Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the butterfly for sparkle. Use your Bone Folder to gently curl the butterfly wings and then use a Stampin’ Dimensional to attach the butterfly to the top left corner of the Whisper White cs panel.

Wrap the bottom of the Whisper White cs/ Grapefruit Grove cs panels with Grapefruit Grove grosgrain ribbon and tie a bow in the bottom right corner. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the wrapped panels slightly off center on the embossed Vellum cs.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the butterfly from the Positive Thoughts stamp set in Memento Black ink and then colored with the Stampin’ Blends across the bottom of the inside panel. I also stamped the butterfly on the back of the card and added Wink of Stella to all the butterflies to pull the theme through.
