April's Paper Pumpkin Kit - Sentimental Rose

April’s Paper Pumpkin with the Sentimental Rose Distinktive stamp set is gorgeous! I love this kit!

The cards that come with Kit are so lovely and easy to make. The embellishments – corrugated layers & banners and enamel dots are super cute and fun to add to the cards.

I fell in love with the rose and leaf image in this Sentimental Rose stamp set.

Start with a Soft Suede cs card base. Cut a Blushing Bride cs panel and emboss it with the Lace embossing folder. Use a dauber inked with Blushing Bride ink and add color to the edges and front of the embossed panel. Then glue the panel to the card base.

Cut a Very Vanilla cs panel. Stamp the rose and leaf images from the Sentimental Rose stamp set in Soft Suede. Use the dauber to add Blushing Bride ink to the flower petals and the edges of the panel. Color the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the rose petals. Use Tear & Tape to add ribbon to the bottom edge of the panel (I used the new Scalloped Lace Trim ribbon) and then glue the panel to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Sentimental Rose stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla cs and punch it out with the Pretty Label punch. Use the dauber to add Blushing Bride to the edges of the stamped Very Vanilla cs label. Punch out a label from Soft Suede cs with the Pretty Label punch and cut it in half. Use glue to add it to the stamped Very Vanilla cs label. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the label layers overlapping the stamped image layer and the card front. Color rhinestones with the Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend and add them to the sentiment layers to finish the card.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs panel to the inside of the card to write your message. I stamped & colored the rose & leaf image on the inside panel and a leaf on the back of the card to pull the theme through.
